Inara meaning "ray of light/heaven sent" was born in the middle of July in Nebraska on an absolutely beautiful 80 degree day full of sunshine. She is full of bright shiny white fleece with very good coverage down to her toes.
She has the good fortune to have Hemingway in her bloodline with Hemingway as her grandsire. Hemingway is known to pass on his fineness and Inara's fleece is super fine to the touch so it looks like the Heminway's genes have come through again. Her sire was a nice sized alpaca being two hands bigger than the average male, and it looks like Inara inherited that trait too as she is a nice sized girl and this will help her in carrying her cria with ease.
Inara's dam - Persephone has been maintaining her fleece charactertics quite well with a micron count of 25.7 at six years of age. Persephone fleece characteristics along with Hemingway's Pride fleece characteristics and density are sure to lead to a girl with a fine fleece all around.
Inara has been bred to Javelin for a spring 2012 cria. Javelin will add crimp and density to Inara's fine white fleece. What a combination that should make!
